The carronade is based on a 1/50th scale wooden model of an English carronade for a model ship exhibition. On the right is a splash screen I was going to use for my ship building club website until common sense overrode my ego. |

| This is a scaled model of U.S.S. Cairo, a Federal casemate ironclad that fought on the western rivers until hitting a mine and sinking in 1863. The wreck was discovered in the early '60's, recovered and restored, and is on display in Vicksburg, Mississippi. | ||
