This is a scene I created for one of
my refinery training manuals. I used different camera angles, trim
colors, and backgrounds to create a variety of images for the manual
covers while keeping a consistent theme throughout the series.
This is a quick drawing
of a single track railroad bridge. I used a photo of the bridge from
a magazine and scaled it using some of my HO scale model railroading
equipment.
In 2000 the Mars Society was designing a prototype Mars habitat
to be build in the arctic and used for various research projects.
I volunteered to do the 3D renderings. Working closely with the
architect, the station design went through three evolutions before
being finalized.
On the left is version 2, in the center is version 3, and on the
right is my conceptualization of
version 4 as it might appear on Mars. Click HEREfor additional views of version 4.
This is a two-stall turn of the century
railroad engine house. I modeled it to scale using the actual HO scale
model. I am currently working on a machine shop and other out buildings
as well as a railroad car and/or engine to create a scene.
